This semester, I founded a student club at UAF, the UAF Student Arts and Illustration club. My goal was to bring my peers together who I thought would appreciate a time to work on projects or collaborate. Initially, many people who showed up to our weekly meetings were drawing students, specifically those interested in comics and animation.
After a bit we decided to specialize to fit the wants of our members. At our chill drawing sessions we listen to online material that we can't access at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Since our members were so focused, we mainly listen to comics creators and watch animated films. I really hope the club expands.
